About Bryn Escape

Hello and welcome — we are Natalie and Serge, the proud owners of Bryn Escape, our peaceful mountain retreat in the heart of Snowdonia, also known as Eryri.

We live with our two teenage sons and Patch, our much-loved Jack Russell, and although we do not yet call North Wales our permanent home, that is very much the plan. From the moment we first arrived, we fell completely in love with the dramatic landscapes, the stillness of the valleys and the quiet majesty of Yr Wyddfa rising above it all.

Bryn Escape was created as more than just a Snowdonia holiday cottage. It is a sanctuary — a place to slow down, reconnect and breathe deeply. Whether you are seeking a romantic break in Snowdonia, a restorative weekend in the mountains, or a walking and hiking holiday in Eryri, we wanted to create a space that feels warm, thoughtful and quietly luxurious.

Craftsmanship and simple living are at the heart of everything we do.

Natalie runs BeeswaxBayFarm, where she hand-pours natural beeswax candles using traditional methods. Each candle is made slowly and carefully, bringing a soft glow and gentle scent that perfectly suits a cosy evening after a day in the hills.

Serge creates decorative furniture from reclaimed wood, giving each piece new life and character. His work celebrates natural textures and timeless design — qualities that are reflected throughout the cottage itself.

We also run My Little Quail Cottage, where we breed Celadon quail and enjoy wonderfully fresh eggs each day — a small but joyful reminder of rural living done properly.

Nature, craftsmanship, sustainability and comfort guide every decision we make. From the softness of the bedding to the small details that greet you on arrival, everything is prepared with care. We want you to feel not like a guest, but completely at home in your own private mountain escape.
